Flanigan Joins Smith, Welch & Brittain, LLP

Santana Flanigan, University of Georgia graduate and Conyers native, joins SWB. Santana specializes in General Civil Litigation, Employment Law and Litigation, and Education Law and Litigation.

McDonough, GA – November 4, 2008 - Smith, Welch & Brittain LLP, Attorneys at Law is proud to announce that Santana T. Flanigan, a Conyers native, has joined our firm as an associate.

Santana graduated from Emory University, Atlanta in 2001 with a B.A. in English. 

Santana attended law school at the University of Georgia School of Law, Athens, where he served as Chief Investigator and Prosecutor of the Honor Court. While at Georgia, he authored an article, titled “The Georgia Charter School Act of 1998: Staying True to the General Principles Embraced by the Charter School Movement” the Education Law and Policy Online Journal published.

After graduation from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006, he clerked for the Honorable Cindy Morris, Superior Court Judge for the Conasauga Judicial Circuit and practiced employment and business law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is admitted to both the Georgia and Wisconsin Bar.  Santana’s primary areas of practice include General Civil Litigation, Employment Law and Litigation, and Education Law and Litigation. 

Smith, Welch & Brittain, LLP was established in McDonough in 1873. The firm currently operates offices in McDonough, Stockbridge, Jackson and Barnesville. SWB includes 20 attorneys and more than 50 support staff.
