Strickland Joins Smith, Welch & Brittain, LLP

Brian Strickland, Henry County native and graduate of Valdosta State University, joins SWB. Mr. Strickland specializes in family law and divorce.

McDonough, GA – January  7, 2009 - Smith, Welch & Brittain LLP, Attorneys at Law is proud to announce that Brian Strickland, a Valdosta State University graduate has joined our firm as an associate.  Mr. Strickland graduated with B.B.A. in Economics, receiving Dean’s List Honors and membership in the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society.  After graduation from Valdosta State University, Mr. Strickland attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2009.

After working in the summer of 2007 as an intern with the Georgia Prosecuting Attorney’s Council in the Henry County District, Mr. Strickland joined Smith, Welch & Brittain as a summer clerk in 2008. Upon successful completion of the Bar exam Mr. Strickland became an Associate at the McDonough office of Smith, Welch & Brittain. He is actively involved in the community through his church, Hampton First Baptist Church, and Eagles Landing High School where he volunteers as a Mock Trial Coach.

Smith, Welch & Brittain, LLP was established in McDonough in 1873. The firm currently operates offices in McDonough, Stockbridge, Jackson and Barnesville.  SWB includes 20 attorneys and more than 50 support staff.
