Careshia Moore was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1999 with a B.A. in Education. After working as an educator in the public school system and as a juvenile diversion program site coordinator, she attended the University of Florida, Levin College of law where she received a J.D. degree in 2007. While at Levin College of Law, Mrs. Moore was an active member of Black Law Students Association and a member of the University of Florida Honor Court. She also worked as a law clerk with the Office of General Counsel for the University of Florida where she assisted university counsel with various issues pertaining to higher education law. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and maintains her membership with the same and the American Bar Association. In Florida, Mrs. Moore was employed with Three Rivers Legal Services where she practiced in the areas of family law, consumer law and landlord/tenant.
In 2008, Mrs. Moore joined the mass tort litigation team of King & Spalding in Atlanta Georgia where she worked on various E-discovery issues. She has since become a member of the Georgia State Bar and the Henry County Bar. Mrs. Moore is an active volunteer with the United Way and is a graduate of the Volunteer Involvement Program.
In her spare time, Mrs. Moore enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
