Brian Strickland is a native of Henry County and graduated from Henry County High School in 2002. In 2006 he graduated from Valdosta State University with a B.B.A. in Economics, receiving Dean’s List Honors and membership in the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society. After graduation from Valdosta State University, Mr. Strickland attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2009.
At Florida Coastal he received the Dean’s Scholar Award, the Book Award for highest grade in a course, and the Class of 2009 Law Student Recognition Award. He also served as the President of the Student Bar Association of Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008 and 2009.
After working in the summer of 2007 as an intern with the Georgia Prosecuting Attorney’s Council in the Henry County District, Mr. Strickland joined Smith, Welch & Brittain as a summer clerk in 2008. Upon successful completion of the Bar exam Mr. Strickland became an Associate at the McDonough office of Smith, Welch & Brittain. He is actively involved in the community through his church, Hampton First Baptist Church, and Eagles Landing High School where he volunteers as a Mock Trial Coach.
Mr. Strickland is currently the Young Professionals of Henry County Event Chair for the 2010 Miles for Meals Walk. He was appointed to serve on the Board for Crosswalk Ministries USA, Inc, and is a member of Kiwanis.
